My first stoneware sculpture emerged from my interpretation of a photograph of a beautiful, emotional hold between two close friends.

This began a great love of the process of creating expressive ‘hugs’. I use textured clay and fire them with a light glaze, to give a stone effect.

My passion is to make sculptures that communicate comfort, love and the beauty of being wrapped in the arms of another trusted human being.
